SUNTEN Awarded Gold Medal in EcoVadis (Sustainability) Assessment

Recently, in the 2023-2024 EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Rating, SUNTEN successfully achieved a gold medal. EcoVadis is the world's largest and most trusted provider of corporate social responsibility ratings. To date, over 100,000 companies across more than 200 industries and 175 countries have participated in its assessments. The evaluation system focuses on four key themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Business Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Among global manufacturers of electric locomotives, generators, transformers, and regulators, SUNTEN ranked in the top 3%, and it ranked in the top 5% among all participating companies.  

The gold medal is a testament to the company's long-term commitment to actively fulfilling its social responsibilities in areas such as the environment, labor & human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement. At the end of 2021, SUNTEN initiated the EcoVadis (Sustainability) rating project and achieved initial success in April 2022 by earning a silver medal, which strengthened the company's confidence in its sustainability efforts.  

During 2023-2024, SUNTEN focused on various sustainability topics, further solidifying the foundation for sustainable development. In response to national policies on green, low-carbon, and high-quality development, the company actively pursued green transformation and implemented a series of improvement measures in carbon reduction, energy conservation, and environmental protection. SUNTEN promoted the adoption of clean energy through its photovoltaic projects, with a distributed PV project totaling 5.8 MW successfully connected to the grid. As a national high-tech enterprise and an AAA-certified green design product provider, SUNTEN continuously optimizes product design and enhances energy efficiency. Newly developed products prioritize green and energy-saving materials, exceeding national and industry standards in noise and electromagnetic radiation performance. The company's self-developed high-efficiency and environmentally friendly products have obtained multiple national patents, advancing green product development to higher standards.  

In terms of system management, SUNTEN has passed certifications/supervisory audits for the SA8000 Social Responsibility Management System, Green Supply Chain, Green Product Design, ISO27001 Information Security Management System, ISO37001 Anti-Bribery Management System, and ISO50001 Energy Management System. With further progress in carbon footprint and carbon verification efforts, the company's carbon management system has begun to take shape.
